Consistent quality, always reliable

This is my third course with Yogic Studies, this time I took the Buddhist philosophy module. Like my previous experiences with their Sanskrit reading rooms and the Yoga Darshana course, the quality was consistently excellent. The instructors are always top-notch academics, and the course structure is easy to follow. I know what to expect when I sign up here, which is why I keep coming back. The access period for courses is also generous, which helps with my schedule.

Quick access, solid content

Bought the Hatha Yoga history course. Got access instantly. Content was good and well-organized. No problems. It's exactly what I needed for my research. Would recommend for quick learning.

Good content, minor tech issues

I enrolled in the Patañjali Yoga Sutras course and generally found the content to be high quality and very informative. The instructor was knowledgeable and explained complex topics well. However, I did experience a few minor glitches with the video player buffering occasionally, which was a bit disruptive. The course materials were comprehensive, though, and I appreciated being able to access them for a long time. Overall, it's a solid platform for serious study, just a couple of small tech improvements would make it perfect.

Pretty good, learned a lot

I checked out the Hinduism studies course last month. It was pretty interesting, way more in-depth than I thought it would be. The videos were easy to watch and the readings were good. Didn't have any trouble getting into the course or anything. It felt like a good way to learn about the topic without being too intense. I liked that it wasn't just some basic intro stuff.

Excellent Sanskrit Course

I just finished the Sanskrit language beginner course and it was absolutely amazing! The instructor was so clear and made learning a new language really fun. I loved the live sessions, even though they were early for me sometimes. I'm definitely going to sign up for the intermediate one. I've already told my friend about it!

Thinking of signing up for a few courses, like a Sanskrit one and maybe a philosophy intensive. Do they ever do deals if you buy more than one at a time?

S Shane Carter 1 month ago
Yup, definitely! They have 'bundle' discounts sometimes if you get a couple courses together. Check the site, usually around enrollment periods.

I got a pretty sweet deal on a Sanskrit bundle last year. It wasn't a huge amount off, maybe 15-20%, but it was worth it. Just make sure the courses you want are part of an eligible bundle.

Are these courses like, actually legit? Or is it more like a fancy yoga studio's online program? Trying to decide between this and something like Oxford's offerings.

R Ryan Osei 2 months ago
Nah, it's totally legit. Way more academic than a typical yoga studio. Think university-level, not just basic teacher training. The instructors are actual scholars.

I looked into Oxford too, but went with Yogic Studies. It's really deep dives into the history and philosophy, not just 'do these poses'. They focus on the academic side, which is what I was after.

Hey, wondering about the Sanskrit courses. Are they all live classes or more like pre-recorded stuff I can watch whenever?

C Carly Beaumont 2 months ago
From what I remember, the Sanskrit classes are usually a mix. Some of the core stuff is live with a teacher, but you also get access to recordings. Pretty flexible.

Yeah, they totally have both. I took a grammar workshop and that was live, but the main intro course I did was pre-recorded lectures you could do at your own pace. Best of both worlds if you ask me.

What's the refund policy like if I sign up for a live course and then my schedule changes or something unexpected comes up?

N Nina Y. 2 months ago
I think you can get a refund if it's a live course and you can't make it. I remember seeing that in their FAQs somewhere.

Yeah, I had to cancel a live intensive once and got my money back, no fuss. They're pretty good about it as long as you're within the refund window, whatever that is. Just check the terms for your specific course.
